Freud’s Dreams Museum, St. Petersburg

The Freud’s Dreams Museum, St. Petersburg, was founded in 1999 by psychoanalyst Viktor Mazin and necro-realist artist Vladimir Kustov. The Museum is hosted by the East-European Institute for Psycho-analysis. The museum functions as a cultural knowledge centre, by staging exhibitions and symposia and by publishing its Kabinet magazine.

Pro Arte Institute, St. Petersburg

The Pro Arte Institute is a non-governmental organization founded in 1999 in St Petersburg, Russia, to promote contemporary culture in the fields of visual art, music and dance. The Institute organizes a wide variety of educational programs (lectures, seminars, round tables), events (concerts and exhibitions), and grant competitions for Russian artists and cultural institutions.

The Pro Arte Institute is supported by the Ford Foundation and the State Museum of the History of St Petersburg.

The Netherlands Institute, St. Petersburg

The Netherlands Institute supported the symposium by offering a grant for travel costs and accommodation of Maarten Doorman. The Netherlands institute also provided for translations of texts, simultaneous translation by translators during the symposium, and further technical and practical assistance to the symposium, and assistance concerning publicity, logistics and the publication of Kabinet.

Foundation for the Production and Translation of Dutch Literature

The Foundation for the Production and Translation of Dutch Literature exists to promote interest in Dutch-language literature abroad. The foundation offered chief-editor of the Russian literairy magazine ‘Zvezda’, Alexei Purin, free accommodation and a contribution in travelcosts. Purin is co-translator of Fokke & Sukke cartoons.
